Created in 1999, our company arrived at a difficult time in the history of the marshes. A succession of bad (even no) harvests had caused a disruption in the distribution channels.
Forced to move quickly, we entered the major national retailers in 2002, firstly with the INTERMARCHE, CASINO and MONOPRIX groups, under our own brand, then in AUCHAN and INTERMARCHE through their respective private labels, "Produits de terroir" and "Itinéraire des Saveurs".
The fact that we have been listed for more than ten years with French national retailers is a mark of confidence which is essential for TRAD Y SEL and the "provider" salt workers who sell their production through TRAD Y SEL.
This type of large client imposes stringent specifications, which led TRAD Y SEL to become more professional and thus meet the requirements.
Compared to our potential, exports of TRAD Y SEL products only represent a small part of current sales, but today TRAD Y SEL is present in Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Canada, USA and Japan. We work with the gourmet food sector, catering and hotel industry, blenders (with spices) and processors in the food and non food sectors. Every request is dealt with by our sales team located at the company head office.
